I have included below, several links to other websites that may be of interest to you. They relate to the themes of my books, and to the creation of this website. I hope you find them useful...
http://www.glenelg.co.uk/ takes you to Glendaig country. The fictional village featured in The Drumbeater, is modelled on that of Arnisdale, located on the shore of Loch Hourn. Glenelg itself, was the inspiration for the fictional village of Camuscraig.
www.uboat.net is a great source of information about the u-boat war 1939-1945. The site was an invaluable resource when I was researching The Drumbeater.
www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/culloden is the official National Trust For Scotland page, providing visitor information about Culloden Battlefield.
www.rhqagc.com/index.html is the homepage of The Adjutant General's Corps Museum in Winchester. A small but fascinating museum that covers the history of amongst other things, army pay and education. I am extremely grateful to the curator for his assistance during my research for The Well of The Dead.
http://www.visitinvernesslochness.com/blog/discover-strathnairn.aspx. Click here to go to the Strathnairn page of the Discover Inverness/Loch Ness website. Strathnairn featured strongly in the Well of the Dead.
https://fortercastle.com/ will take you to the website of this beautifully renovated 16th century keep in Perthshire. Forter is the inspiration for Cullaird Castle in The Well of the Dead. Why not rent it for a week and take a copy of the book with you!
https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/cromarty/cromarty/index.html . Click here to find out more about Cromarty on The Black Isle, Neil Strachan's boyhood home.
http://strathcononscenics.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/Strathcononscenics/ are links to my friend Don Mackinnon's Highland photography sites. Don provided some of the header photos for this site. There are many more superb photos of Scottish wildlife and landscapes on his website and Facebook page. They are available for purchase in various sizes. Contact Don for details.
